I just purchased a one of a kind piece. Can I use it and how do I care for it?

Thank you so much for your support and congratulations on your new one of a kind piece of pottery! All of my mugs and dishware are made with food safe glazes and ceramic (yes, even the “wood” in your fireplace!) and are able to be used should you choose to. Below are some helpful tips in caring for your new piece of art, and a couple answers to some frequently asked questions. If you cannot find the answer to your question after reading below, please feel free to reach out!

Gold + Metal

  • Due to the metal found in the gold and dangling attachments on some of my pieces, this means that they are NOT eligible for the microwave.

  • These pieces are hand wash only using a non-abrasive sponge as a rough sponge can scratch or flake the gold accents over time.

  • If you have a mug with metal components, make sure to fully dry before storing.

Handling + General care

  • I recommend hand washing all of my hand sculpted mugs.

  • Small attachments that are added such as plants, books etc. Are prone to breakage should you bump them or drop them. Any breakage during the handling of these mugs is at the hands of the user. Should you need to re-attach a piece, I recommend E6000 glue (please follow manufacture’s directions). These mugs are ceramic stoneware which is prone to breakage and do not have a warranty should the user have an accident.

  • I do not recommend microwaving your one of a kind piece as each piece is uniquely made and can have a glue component attached.
